With the arrest in the Sandra Birchmore case today, I have to wonder if the O'Keefes' civil suit will look even worse a month from now. Might we see other arrests happening in Canton, Massachusetts, in the very near future?
Gotta wonder! What a development. Guess I can scratch the draft I've been working on about the civil case, that just got substantially less interesting than the criminal one.
As much as being sued sucks, it kind of sounds like it could be a win for Karen Reed. And wasn't there a FBI letter or some letter recently stating they did not come to the same conclusion as the State?
I won't go so far as to say it's a good thing, but it's got a silver lining for sure. The letter you're referring to is a response from AUSA Josh Levy to Michael Morrissey, who had been complaining about the federal investigation and trying to get it investigated. I'm nor sure when he wrote it but I think it was sometime last year.
Yes. Maybe not so much in the short term because I don't think there's that much they'll be able to do before the trial date. But in the long term, the ability to continue investigating even if she's convicted is massive benefit.

Oh noes! Please publish what you have! I would like to read it.
You never know if it might become relevant in the future.

Do you think this added time until the next criminal trial could be beneficial?
