I feel like I’m living in the age of John Adams! I feel and read others’ desperation to want this trial layed out in front of them. These girls are us. They did what we did as kids. They are our kids. It hit something in the soul, these murders. Andrea writing these motions and Writs are like us writing them. A togetherness of “We The People” whereby our support of this brilliant and beautifully spirited woman can take our voice and with honor, courage, and power, give it life. The thank you I have for her isn’t enough. I just pray that she knows this is bigger than right now, it is a memory for life in my life. God bless you, my friend! Onward and Upward We March! ❤️✊⚡️

Andrea,

This is really exciting. Normally I only ever read about supreme Court-level briefs after-the-fact, but in this case, I'm seeing it on real time. This is extraordinary, and a reminder that people need to "follow the rules" and not make stuff up for themselves to follow. Let's hope they rule on this as soon as possible, since the trial might be over by the time they issue an opinion.

Even as a layperson, I can see mounting grounds for the possibility of dissolving Gull of her qualified immunity. This writ is a small, but seemingly straightforward example? Alone it would not have much weight. Add to that the ruling(s) denying Allen’s defense to present 3rd part culpability theories, and defenses 2nd motion to allow it citing constitutional right infringement. Collectively, the bias evidence is mounting WITH a public spotlight provided by you and other attending attorneys. I think Gull has been feeling the steady increase in pressure from public scrutiny, and perhaps even her own personal liability?? I’ve said that I believe your presence (and others, esp attorneys) HAS made —IS making— a difference to reduce the bias against Allen’s right to fair, impartial court conduct. Will it be enough??

She did not want eyes on what she's doing in this courtroom, that is abundantly clear. I'm glad for the role I can play in messing up her plans.

Andrea, you're an inspiration to many. I personally want to thank you for sharing your knowledge, work and for fighting for what's right and good. A humane being, a fighter and an empath. Compassionate and confident. Jeff is great too. We love Jeff in your chat, you guys have a good thing going but after this please take a break. Decompress and get back in that ring behind your very impressive jab! Big fan of boxing here too!!

You deserve it. Thank you. 🥊🐟❤

Pleasure to read your work. A couple of thoughts.... The Indiana Supreme Court has already issued an emergency writ on this case and a second writ issued to Judge Gull would effectively ruin her career. The judge club is strong and they might circle the wagons so to speak to protect Gull.

Some of the public outrage has been hyped up by social media content creators, which has likely been driven by the lack of transparency.

We are in the middle of adapting new technology to the monolithic court process and the growing pains are obvious. Coupled with the collapse of even marginally unbiased journalism a vacuum is created. The local court proceedings I routinely attend are devoid of print media or members of the public.

I think you're right that there's going to be institutional reluctance there. It's unfortunate because her career really does need to be ended.

Feasgar math,

I am frustrated her career hadn't come to an end before this trial. It's worrying and I'm Scottish, this doesn't affect my country, community or family but it affects human beings and that matters to me. True justice should be everywhere in the world! My heart goes out to the victims families including Mr Allens. This is not justice. No cameras, no wonder!

I worry about the lack of transparency in our courts but our sentences aren't as long - prisoners have a lot of support, the prison are not hell and the government can't take your life.

Thank you for this original action. I am stunned but not shocked by the actions of Judge Gull and the ongoing violation of the fundamental right of all of us to public trial. I come from the world of investigative journalism and international/EU laws (and that of England/Wales). The conflict of laws here is a whole other kettle of fish - at what point are we in fact bound by our commitments under international norms and treaties? If our laws of the land fail - under the tyranny of the State - then what? What is the recourse? Hoping our judicial system holds? I want to note that I very much appreciate you continuing to point out the Nancy Grace-ifcation of "reporting". That poof! Like magic - after the prosecution rests - those fly by night clickbait "reporters" fly back to wherever they go and act like they were there.

God almighty I feel this in my investigative reporter bones. Boots on the ground doesn't mean parachuting in and standing in front of a courthouse for your establishing shot. It's an affront to court reporters, professionals who are trained observers of the judicial process (in whatever venue).

And now? We all have to worry about that. That loss of public access. That commodification of truth-i-ness and infotainment. So thank you for putting that out there over and over again....Andy Kopsa

Adding that MY GOD WE ARE BOTH ANDREA JEANs. I went to Indiana MyCase and I saw filed by Andrea Jean...and I thought for a moment I'd accidentally pulled up something of mine. Ha!

Today a friend mentioned she's reading the news live blogs. (wishtv, fox59) Do the privileged media also have networked electronics? wowski.

I subscribed to the Carroll County Comet a few years ago, and enjoyed reading the county weekly police blotter to get a sense of the law enforcement challenges folks like Tobe Leazenby were thrust into throughout their careers: DUI, Vandalism, DUI, loose dog, stolen chicken. Goes back years.
